Tim Simenon, the producer of 'Ultra' is of Malaysian and Scottish parentage.

Daid Gahan's father is from Malaysia, though he left Dave's mum when he was very young. Dave's mum married a British, and Dave considers him as his real father.

By the way, Gahan is Irish and pronounced 'Gaan'. "But my blood father has Malaysian ancestors" - Ask Dave, Bong 7, October 1989
