Q: You are never seen at any society parties. Why?

Dave Gahan: Cause I don't like such parties. I go to the MTV Awards because that is
part of my job. But this whole celebrity-society is too superficial;
only show-business. There are people approaching you and pretending to
be your best friends, that you don't even know. I don't feel at ease.
Everything is about showing off who is the greatest. I don't need that.
